The R&C Story

Let us offer some context...

The church here at Robinson & Center is a healthy, vibrant group of Christians who enjoy getting together for times of Worship, Bible study, and fellowship.  We are certainly not perfect--and would never claim to be.  But the fact that we love one another and that we want to encourage one another to Love and Good Works (Hebrews 10:24) is obvious each time we are together.  As you get to know this church family, you will find deep and abiding friendships, and you will be drawn closer to Jesus, and to your brothers and sisters in Christ.

We are located just west of downtown Conway in the historic district known locally as Old Town Conway.  We are also only about five blocks east of the University of Central Arkansas (UCA).  We sponsor the Bears for Christ Campus Ministry on the UCA campus.  Our campus house at 327 Augusta Avenue is the gathering place for the group where they have weekly devotionals and Bear Feeds during the school year.

The Robinson & Center Church of Christ has been on this property at 1505 Robinson Avenue since 1905.  There was a white wood-frame building at the corner Robinson and Faulkner when the small group bought the property.  They built a new auditorium just behind that building, and it came down a few years later.  Two more auditoriums were built on Robinson over the years, the last of which still stands on the corner of Robinson and Center and now houses our Youth and Children's area.  In 2016 our present auditorium was built just to the south in the middle of the block.  Our property now consists of over forty city lots purchased over one hundred plus years.

Conway is a great place to live.  It is a growing community that maintains a small town feel.  Conway has three colleges and good job opportunities.  We have many folks at R&C who came here for college and put down roots and chose to raise their families here in Conway and at R&C.
